

Fibre Fest returns to Eastbourne on the 24th June 2023. If you’re interested in spinning, weaving, felting, textile art, knitting, and more, this is the place to be!
With suppliers, makers, demos & workshops, it will be a celebration of all things textile.
Fibre Fest takes place on Saturday 24th June, from 10am – 5pm.

WORKSHOPS:
OWL WEAVING WORKSHOP with Jackie Bennett
Saturday 24th June, 1.30 – 3pm
Upstairs at the Enterprise Shopping Centre
Cost £20, all material included
Weave a small owl, (or fantasy bird) on a little wooden loom. Select from a variety of yarns, buttons and other bits to get creative.
This simple weaving activity will delight and inspire all ages. Suitable for complete beginners. Have fun, relax and create. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
You will work on a little wooden loom. Select from a variety of yarns, and use up-cycled buttons and other bits to create the features. You may choose to finish your owl as a decorative hanging, pendant or brooch. Jackie will be on hand to give one-to-one help and guidance to weave your own unique piece.

FRAME WEAVING WORKSHOP with Kay Hilton
Kay will be holding a weaving workshop at Fibre Fest on the 24th June where you can complete a small scale frame weave to take home.
You’ll be able to choose from a variety of sized frames and materials to weave with. Workshop runs from 11-1pm

Develop a new skill in an hour with expert guidance from Monica Russel

After the session you will be able to produce a straight piece of knitting and have the fundamental skills to build on.
